BDC/Customer Service Specialist needed immediately to respond to internet leads and convert inquiries to appointments in our busy and professional Business Development Center at Sunset Kia of Sarasota, a proud member of the Sunset Automotive Group family of dealerships. 

Successful candidates will have ability to multi-task, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a pleasant personality.  Experience in inside sales, customer service, call center, marketing, lead conversion, auto sales, or other related field is required. Strong base pay plus commission.  If you are a customer service specialist looking to further your career with an established and respected organization, join our team at Sunset Kia of Sarasota! 

BDC Associate Duties

As an Automotive BDC Representative, you will be directly responsible for monitoring and following up with potential customer leads received via internet, phone, and visits to the dealership.  Outstanding customer service skills are required. 

  • Following and maintaining relationship with former customers
  • Monitoring and contacting internet leads
  • Determining each customer's vehicle needs by active listening
  • Learning, understanding, and following call and email scripts
  • Setting, confirming, and following up on appointments
  • Performing surveys with customers
  • Other duties as required

As an Automotive BDC Representative, you must embody Sunset Automotive Group's stellar community reputation of honesty, integrity and superior customer service. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

The ideal BDC Representative will also have:

  • Proven track record in customer service and/or sales; BDC/internet automotive experience is preferred, but not required 
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to establish rapport and build relationships to ensure repeat customers
  • Strong multi-tasking and organization skills  
  • Basic computer proficiency 
  • Verifiable work history 
  • Professional appearance and demeanor 
  • Strong English skills
